AI changes every few months. Human nature doesn’t.

Sean Wood, founder of Human Pilots AI and AI adoption advisor.

I've spent a decade working at this intersection.

The gap between AI and outcomes is almost always about people: how they work, what they resist, and what organizations are built to reward.

I started working with executives on AI transformation with IBM in 2015, connecting people and technology. I’ve supported companies like Coca-Cola, AT&T, Verizon, and Home Depot. The technology works, but the human factors have always been a problem to solve in order to generate value.

This is what led me to launch Human Pilots AI and to create the ARC Framework, based on pattern recognition across 80+ AI transformations.

Independent AI advisory for senior leaders and boards.

My advisory work focuses on the implementation gap: where promising AI concepts collide with organizational reality. Every engagement starts with an honest picture of where the organization stands. Every engagement is measured by whether the business moved.

Speaking

Leadership. Organizational change. The future of work.

I speak to leadership teams, executive forums, and business school audiences about what AI is doing to organizations, how leaders build the capacity to respond, and what separates organizations that are gaining ground from those that are reacting.

My sessions are built around pattern recognition from real engagements. At a recent PE portfolio Annual Growth Conference, every participant rated the session Excellent — the only unanimous top score of the conference.
